Last night we opened the first in a series of live music events based at Store 51. Lounge 51 is an open mic bringing together the best in the Nottingham music.
We had a fantastic opening night with an incredible 11 artists playing and the night was headlined by Jonny Olley. I’ve watched Jonny over the last year grow in confidence and stature on stage. He truly puts the effort into rehearsals and works so hard on his music and last night I was able to see a true star in action. 2 years and everyone will know this guys name if he continues to work as hard as he is now because boy does he have the talent.
During the night we had a truly unique atmosphere with people playing board games, chilling out on our rug in front of the fire. People drinking booze and hot chocolate (not at the same time) in the perfect balance of relaxation and respect for the artists playing.
At Lounge 51 everyone listens and that’s what we love about what we are creating here.
Each week there will be a different headline act and it really is truly amazing who we have over the coming weeks.

I really can’t get across enough how lucky we are to have these guys coming down to play, then we have loads of people coming down to play the open mic section as well. It’s a night full of music, laughs and friends. On a Thursday night…what more could you ask for?
Head to the Store 51 Facebook to check out the event details and come on down!
